Support for Families of these Unique Students

The USDB Education Foundation provides support to Utah’s children who are deaf, blind, or deaf-blind in addition to the generous support from the taxpayers of Utah. The Utah legislature provides funding to cover the basics for school activities at USDB, but sometimes the families of these unique children need a little more help. USDB provides overhead and administrative resources for the Foundation, allowing 100% of donations to go directly to the children. This gives individuals, foundations, and corporations an opportunity to donate and make a real difference in the life of a child.

An Outdoor Family Learning Center will provide learning opportunities in nature for students and their parents and siblings. The center brings the whole family together to learn from highly specialized professionals in deaf or blind education. The location provides a place where parents who have children with similar needs can network and share best practices. Building a network of parents makes a world of difference.
